The bill includes the Small Business Health Care Relief Act, which had previously been approved by voice vote on the House floor.

Introduced by Chairman of the HELP Committee, Senator Alexander (R-TN) and co-sponsored by Senators Scott (R-SC), Lankford (R-OK), and Flake (R-AZ).

  • US House of Representatives Passes HRA Legislation

    On Tuesday, June 21, 2016, the United States House of Representatives passed H.R. 5447, Small Business Health Care Relief Act, by voice vote. This common sense, bipartisan legislation allows for small businesses with 49 or less employees to offer health reimbursement arrangements to their employees. The bill will now be considered by the US Senate.

  • House Ways and Means Committee Approves HRA Legislation

    On Wednesday, June 15, 2016, the House Ways and Means Committee favorably discharged H.R. 5447 (formerly H.R. 2911), "Small Business Health Care Relief Act" from committee. The legislation will be considered by the full House of Representatives sometime next week.
